Do you make Piggy BedSpreads for store-bought cages? (back
to top) |
|
Yes!
We've made many PiggyBedSpreads for Marchioro cages &
Super Pet cages and they work fabulously. You simply
set the spreads inside the plastic bottom, fold the sidewalls over
the sides, set the wire top on the plastic bottom feeling through
the fleece for it to settle into the groove, and then snap the
plastic clips in place onto the plastic bottom. Pricing depends on
the size of your cage. We need inside dimensions of the
plastic bottom along with the height of the sidewalls in order to
give you a quote. Please include your zip code when inquiring
so we can calculate your shipping. |
|
Do you make custom sized Piggy BedSpreads? (back
to top) |
|
We have
temporarily stopped taking custom orders until the new year so we
can catch up with orders and serve our customers faster. |
|
Can you make a Piggy BedSpread using my fleece?
|
Yes, however it can get pricey due
to the fact that the customer pays for their own fleece, pays to
ship the fleece to me, and then pays to ship the finished product
back home. I do offer a discount based on my fleece pricing.
So, having said all that....if you still want to pursue this route,
please email us for a quote. |
|
How long will my Piggy BedSpread last? (back
to top) |
|
If you follow the care instructions
on our website, we believe you can expect them to last
18-24 months, but quite possibly longer than that.
Fleece is all polyester and "pills" with wear but doesn't really
"wear" out. The absorbent layer is a special absorbent textile
engineered to hold up under hundreds of home washings.
The barrier component of my spreads is premium grade, and the
company states its duty cycle is, "hundreds of home washings while maintaining suppleness and
impermeability." When compared to disposable bedding options such as Carefresh or Aspen Pine shavings, Piggy BedSpreads will definitely
save you money in the long run. PLUS they're GORGEOUS! |
| How
often should I wash my spreads? (back
to top) |
-
Sweep up hay & droppings 1-2 times a
day
-
After a week (or more
frequently if you have multiple piggies) remove your Piggy
Product from the coroplast tray and brush off hair, hay &
droppings
-
Machine wash your Piggy Products in
warm or cold water using laundry detergent that doesn't contain
fabric softener. I use whatever detergent is on sale
-
Machine dry on LOW to MEDIUM
heat and be certain to clean the lint filter afterwards which will
be filled with hair
-
Sanitize your washing machine by
running a cycle of hot water and ˝ cup of chlorine bleach
-
Now you’re ready for the next load for
the rest of your family.

Do you make Piggy BedSpreads for Lofts? (back

|
My back wall is higher than my other 3 walls. Can you make
me a set of Piggy BedSpreads?
(
|
The back wall in your cage was made
higher to accommodate disposable bedding and to prevent it from
getting kicked out behind the cage where it is hard to reach and
clean up. With Piggy BedSpreads, there is no disposable bedding to
get kicked out and so the higher wall is no longer necessary.
You can trim the back wall down to the same height as the other 3
walls and place your order on the website for the standard C&C
spread. We have many happy customers with similar cage set-ups and I
would say the majority of them decided to trim the back wall down
and order a standard spread. You just need to be able to trace a
straight line across the Coroplast and then use an exacto knife or
razor blade to make the cut. |
|
Will Piggy BedSpreads eliminate odor? (back
to top) |
|
No, but they will greatly reduce odor.
If you follow the care instruction for daily sweeping, and weekly
washing of the spreads, we can assure you that both you and your
piggies will enjoy the day to day benefits that Piggy BedSpreads
have to offer, including dissipation and reduction of odors. |
|
Why are Piggy BedSpreads so expensive? (back
to top) |
|
At first glance, Piggy BedSpreads may
seem expensive, but if you break it down to a cost per month,
compared to any disposable bedding product such as Carefresh or
Aspen Pine shavings, with a lifespan of 24 to 36 months, Piggy
BedSpreads will save you money over time! The upfront cost is
higher due to the use of high quality components, superior
craftsmanship, and the labor intensity that goes into the
construction of each and every Piggy BedSpread.
Not only do you save money with Piggy BedSpreads, you'll enjoy the
ease and pleasure of using Piggy Bed Spreads.
Sit back & watch your piggies show how much they love them! You'll
observe pop corning, running around with delight, and MAXIMUM
lounging like you've never seen before! |
